Basketball-themed Surprise Baby Shower :)
Warning: photo vomit coming up!
Last Sunday, my sister, together with some friends, relatives and in-laws threw me a surprise baby shower party. It was not the exact one I have in mind but the fact that the party was organized behind my back and these people worked together to give me yet another wonderful time in my life is such a big deal. I feel loved and appreciated, mind you. Some people,...

Thank you Lord for the blessed 2011:
1. New challenges and lessons learned.
2. New job.
3. New place.
4. New family member (kuya Bryan) and renewed family bond :)
5. New hope and renewed strength and healing for my mum.
6. New life.
Advance letter to my son:
Hello Cesar Leon (final name, I hope),
Starting today, I’m gonna cut down on sweet intakes. I’m gonna start a strict diet because we are both getting bigger and the back pains are getting worst. This is a major sacrifice for me because I love food, I love sweets and I love eating. This is going to be difficult (and depressing) so I hope you’ll become a good son someday. Mommy...
I am no longer guilty :)
My husband and I, together with my sister in-law, just came from a very exhausting shopping spree. As you all know, bazaar and Christmas sale is all over the town and we don’t wanna miss it simply because… it’s a sale (like, duh!) and I really, really wanna make up for my husband for spending a little bit on those make-ups. Plus I wanna start investing on baby stuff. I...
Count Thy Blessings!
I have a lot of things to be thankful for and I’m not even halfway there…
First, my current company, Cheq Systems, Inc. for giving me the opportunity to prove myself and for believing in my capabilities. Because of this, I was able to ‘upgrade’ myself to becoming an automation tester (Fah-nah-lee!). Also, for this nice company jacket:
Next, I am grateful for being a...
Mongo Guisado and Stapaghetti
My second attempt cooking Mongo Guisado - this time, using pork and Malunggay leaves. I had enough time boiling the mongo beans so I think I had it right this time. The husband loved it, as always.
Also, I was able to prepare part of tomorrow’s dinner (my husband refuse to call it Spaghetti because I’m pairing it with fettuccine and now I don’t know what this pasta/dish is...
Menudo Attempt
So I finally decided to do a weekly grocery and start cooking. My husband went to work today so I told him to meet me at SM Hypermarket at the end of his shift so I’ll have enough time to check each aisle at the grocery store. I listed a couple of dish before heading out. For tonight’s dinner I wanted to cook Menudo. But before that, let me show you what I picked up for this...

So, what's keeping me busy?
Hello, hello! Pardon me but I can’t help but share my excitement when it comes to preparing our humble home ready for our baby’s arrival. Been rearranging and making our place baby-friendly these days. This weekend, our landline has been finally installed (essential for checking out the yaya during working hours). And speaking of yaya, been talking to my mum lately, glad to hear that...
